Parent Support

Parenting, while deeply rewarding, often comes with its fair share of complexities, from managing stress and navigating relationship dynamics to addressing concerns about child development.

Whether parents are seeking guidance on enhancing parenting skills, improving their own well-being, or dealing with specific family issues, I can help navigate them through the many facets of parenthood. Together, we'll explore feeling more empowered, strengthening family bonds, and fostering a positive and nurturing environment.

About Positive Discipline Education

Positive Discipline Education is a nurturing and effective approach to guiding children's behavior and promoting their personal development. Rooted in the principles of mutual respect, communication, and empathy, this educational philosophy emphasizes teaching children valuable life skills and encouraging their intrinsic motivation to make positive choices. Rather than resorting to punitive measures, positive discipline focuses on constructive methods, such as setting clear expectations, offering guidance, and using natural consequences to help children learn from their mistakes. By fostering a supportive and respectful environment, positive discipline education empowers children to develop self-control, problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of responsibility, ultimately helping them become confident, responsible, and well-rounded individuals.

Parent Problem-Solving

Parents can experience huge challenges! While there are so many parenting books, programs, videos, and podcasts out there, your kiddo didn't come with their own user manual. Not to mention, many parents didn't have stellar examples of their own family to follow. Let's work together to build your skills, encourage your child, and grow your connection through Positive Discipline with a therapeutic lens.

Using Parenting education resources and a therapeutic connection, we will navigate the hard stuff and build the good skills together with parent support sessions.

Solo Parenting

Parents who are going it alone have a hard time taking care of themselves and being a "good enough" parent. Sometimes having a parent educating supportive therapist can help them add skills, normalize their feelings, and problem-solve kiddo issues. Let's be a team!

“We reached out to Leslie when we moved out of our old house to a new neighborhood and school. We knew our boys, who were already struggling with transitions and behavior, needed us to get some help! We worked through some positive discipline workbook exercises to figure out what to add or adapt in our family. It was great to have the support. ”
